Jordana in Color Lip Shine Shimmer Glaze in "Sugar Cookie"

The Pen
A couple of years ago I was making a purchase at a Walgreen's in the cosmetics department when I noticed a display set up with lip glosses in them. I totally fell for the trap because I didn't know who the glosses were by, I just saw a cool lip gloss and bought it right on the spot because it was only $1.99.

I found out that the lip gloss was called In Color Lip Shine Natural Glaze and it's by the insanely cheap Jordana brand, which made cosmetics that I always saw at beauty supplies growing up. It turned out to be a great find, because I really loved the gloss a lot.

I recently bought a new tube of the In Color in a shade called Sugar Cookie. It comes in a thin, pen-like tube that's sparkly and the color of butterscotch. The gloss is stored in the center of the tube, the top of it holds a lip brush, and the base is able to be twisted so that the gloss can be released onto the brush. The whole design reminds me of Stila's Lip Glaze.

When I bought this Jordana In Color, I didn't realize that there were two versions of the Lip Shine one is the Natural Glaze and the other is the Shimmer Glaze, I accidently bought the Shimmer Glaze because I thought the light brown color of Sugar Cookie would be flattering.

The Jordana In Color Shimmer Glaze made my lips feel moisturized like a balm but it doesn't feel heavy at all. I really like it because it doesn't feel sticky or slick. It doesn't last long, but it's the perfect texture for a gloss, and even though I thought it would smell like a sugar cookie, it doesn't, but it does have an awesome butterscotch scent.

The color of this Jordana Shimmer Glaze is very flattering, it's a warm pinky brown shade that makes a good neutral for me, and I think it would look good on most skin tones.

I'm really not into having shimmery lips, but this gloss is fun & sexy to wear at night or on the weekends. There's enough shimmer in the gloss to be noticeable, but it's not over-the-top or tacky. My only problem is the shimmer in this is silver toned, and silver doesn't look good on me. Since Sugar Cookie is a warm earthy color, I think it would've been more appropriate for this gloss to have a warmer or golden toned shimmer.

In the End...

I'm not sure if I'm going to be buying the Jordana In Color Shimmer Glaze again, if I do I'll probably try another shade because I just hate the silver shimmer in Sugar Cookie even though it's the perfect neutral for me.

But I will be trying other shades of the shimmer free Jordana In Color Natural Glazes because the gloss is amazing, convenient, and cheap. I give the Sugar Cookie shade 4.5 out of stars.
