Generally, cult leaders get their start when they break off of a traditional Christian church. They usually take with them a small group of disgruntled followers over some perceived false teaching in the church. The leader is usually a person who possesses much personal charisma and optimism, causing people to feel drawn to him. Often the person makes promises or says things which give hope to poor or struggling people. As the person gains more and more supporters and subscribers to his leadership, his teachings begin to change.
This was the case with Jose Luis de Jesus, who recently made the news after pronouncing himself to be the Antichrist. He declared that there was no more sin, no more Satan, and that he was Jesus of Nazareth reincarnated. Did he start his "ministry" this way? No. He originally started as the Pastor of a Christian church and over time, his traditional teachings shifted until they became the heretical jumbled mess they are today.
What about the followers of a man like de Jesus? What are they looking for? Why do they find him appealing? I maintain that people latch on to a leader like this for one reason: They are spiritually hungry. Every person is born with a spiritual need to know and worship God. However, since many do not look to the Bible and its teachings to find the answers they are looking for, they fall prey to the appealing teachings of an enthusiastic, compassionate person who claims to be a minister of God.
Many people empathize with de Jesus, they too were raised in poor neighborhoods and suffered the ill effects of poverty. They are tired of dealing with feeling apart from God and not knowing where their eternity rests. To this person, the teachings of a man like de Jesus sound like a literal God-send. If you subscribe to his beliefs, you can be free from the effects of sin and the consequences of having lived a sinful life. Thus people are willing to give false teachers, like de Jesus, their hard-earned money, and some are even willing to imitate the 666 tattoo he now wears.
As long as the world stands, false teachers will be present. As long as there are people looking for truth and fulfillment outside of Biblical Christianity, those false teachers will have followers.

No terrorist will ever see heaven. No hate groups. Get the picture?
The first Jesus said; forgive them for they know not what they do. The second Jesus says; they do know what they do.

Brenda, haven't you ever read that if any man says that he is Christ, do not believe him? These were the very words of the real Jesus Christ. According to the angels that spoke to those witnessing Jesus Christ ascending, Jesus Christ would return in like manner. The person who you think is the second coming Jesus Christ is a fraud. Jesus Christ didn't come to be born in the flesh a second time. Jesus Christ will descend like he ascended. By the way, if you are required to pay any money, such as tithing or mandatory gifts, that is a guaranteed sign of the Growing in Grace leader to be a cult leader.
So far, nobody in the entire history of the world has matched the above description or "descended from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God"; nor have God's people been "caught up" in the clouds, as of this writing. That, in itself, gives us ample reason to believe that Miranda is a pure, one hundred percent, unadulterated fraud. Not to mention that he has not performed one single miracle (i.e., walking on water, supernaturally changing water into wine, or raising the dead - let alone, ushered in world peace in accordance with Numbers 6:26; Psalm 29:11; Isaiah 9:6; Isaiah 2:1-4; 9:4-5, 7; Zechariah. 9:9-10; etc.)
himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Messiah shall rise first: 17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words."
Brenda, I pray that God will open tyour spiritual eyes and see the truth...beacuse right now you are captive...!!!!
This Jesus - who insists that sin, the devil and hell were all abolished on the cross, also seems to have forgotten that the Bible from Genesis to Revelation NOWHERE suggests that Yeshua would be born of the flesh again! The Bible tells us that He would be returning in the clouds - and that His Second Coming would be connected with a resurrection of our earthly bodies (what is commonly referred to as the "Rapture"):
1 Thessalonians 4: 13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14 For if we believe that Yeshua died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Yeshua will God bring with him. 15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16 For the Lord him
The guy's a shuckster whose primary motivation is the accumulation of wealth. He's also a megalomaniac who desires to be worshiped by people. His message is not pure - he is NOT God. He is a mere mortal who will pay a dear price at the day of his judgment with the REAL God.
If you believe anything this man says then you are being fooled. Christ (the savior) is love. He doesn't care about riches or wealth. He cares about kindness and peace and justice. This charlatain preaches or believes none of these things. And try as he might only God knows the appointed time of his return and no amount of adorning your bodies with the devil's number will hasten his return. God help those under this demon's spell.
Yes in Hebrews 9:26 it says he took our sins this means he paid for sins with his blood so that through him we may be saved, we still have to ask to be saved, keep his commands and repent of our sins, Hebrews 10: 17-18 He adds that sins will not be remembered when there is remission, Also in Acts 2:38 It says Repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.
In order to enter the kingdom of heaven you will have to be saved through Jesus Christ and in order to be saved you MUST repent of your sins! The bible warns us of the anti christ that will come to decive us, but its something that must come to pass, all we can do is pray for those that follow him and pray that Gods Will be Done. God Bless!
i don't buy his story of being the second coming of christ...he sounds greedy. he takes people's hard earned money. why do people keep on abusing the Gospel to enrich themselves while others remain in poverty? It's the same in most churches-the leader is rich while followers go hungry, giving him money>>this is not fair, where is grace and justice that jesus died for?
I am a Growing in Grace member. The bible is my map. The gospel of the New Testament is found in the 14 epistles of the apostle Paul, apostle to the Gentiles. In Romans 6:6-11 it says that we should consider ourselves dead to sin. Why? because in Hebrews 9:26 it says that Christ took sin away. Christ died to bear the sins of many (not all) Heb.9:28. I am very clear in understanding the mission of Jose Luis De Jesus Miranda, who is the second manifestation of God on earth to teach the gospel of grace. The bible says that He came to save those that await Him. God is the Spirit, not the flesh. I receive that your eyes of understanding are enlightened Amy. You are blessed with every spiritual blessing...Ephesians 1:3.
