This self proclamation comes from a former convict, heroin addict, divorced father of 4.James Jones also self proclaimed to be the incarnation of Christ in the 60's,similar?I'd say yes,James Jones suffered from a mental illness and his addiction to drugs and alcohol which spiraled his erratic behavior, while Mr.Miranda claims it to be accepted that he would indulge in such acts.Mr.Miranda teachings would lead his followers to believe that there is no heaven nor hell, that prayer is a waste of time and that the Ten Commandments are irrelevant. He claims that you can basically do whatever you want, staking claim to a odd phrase "Freedom to indulge".He says " It is music to my ears" when he hears that his followers believe now that all other religions such as Catholics,Baptists and Jehovah's Witness are wrong in their beliefs and should be destroyed.
Mr. Miranda has been quoted saying " I know that we are going to be running the whole world someday " referring to himself and his followers and "I will be the president of the biggest government that this earth has experienced." Hispanics have always held their religious beliefs in high regard, they celebrate and rejoice with large gatherings without hesitant and in full extent and because of their strong willed beliefs they usually adorn their bodies and their homes with crosses to signify their feelings towards Christ but, walk into the warehouse in Donal,Florida where Mr. Miranda preaches and there is not a cross in sight just a replica of the U.S. Presidential Seal that reads in spanish "Government of God on Earth."
He says that his followers lavish him with fine gifts such as Rolex watches, the best colognes, clothing and money,he feels that he deserves it and refers to the "gifts" that Jesus received when followers would bath Jesus' feet in perfumed oils.Mr.Miranda claims that God personally hand picked him and he doesn't know why.At one time he also believed to be the reincarnated Apostle Paul and then two years later changed his mind saying that he himself was indeed the incarnation of Jesus Christ claiming that God merged with him and in fact he has also said "I am better than Jesus was,my teachings are better and I will not die no matter what they do to me".Does he not know the difference between Apostle Paul and Jesus Christ? or perhaps he was still strung out on heroin and hallucinating.
He has been asked in interviews if indeed he was the incarnation of Jesus Christ was he able to perform miracles such as healing the sick and walking on water?his response "not necessarily,my life is my church and what I am doing worldwide",was that an answer?I don't think he even heard the question. He seems to be to wrapped up totally in his own self indulgence to even justify any accusations by changing things around to fit him. This man is trying to turn his sheer ignorance into wisdom, trying to justify the unveiling mysteries of what the world holds.Mr.Miranda is taking bits and pieces from the Bible and making it his own, this is to me unaccepted and disturbing to know that others actually believe him.
In regards to the 666 tattoo that is on his arm he states "the antichrist is misunderstood like me",according to Mr. Miranda he claims that the antichrist is not the 'devil' and that he is the being that replaces Jesus on earth. I thought earlier that he claimed himself to be Jesus, sounds fishy to me.He was quoted saying "Antichrist is the best person in the world" and goes on to say " Antichrist means don't put your eyes on Jesus because Jesus of Nazareth was not a Christian.Antichrist means do not put your eyes on Jesus Christ of Nazareth, put them on Jesus after the cross...means me." So he is basically saying that one,he is misunderstood, two the antichrist is the best person in the world and three he is the antichrist?Doesn't make perfect sense to me.Nationwide there are many Christian pastors that are upset by his false prophets calling him "fake" and saying that Mr. Miranda is a good actor and puts on a believable con-job.
Where James Jones called his teachings the "Apolistic Socialism" offering refuge to those suffering from social torment believing in a Utopian society leading to manifest his words in his followers minds that all would be right with the world as long as they follow him and he went as far as to conduct a loyalty test in 1978 that lead to a revolutionary mass suicide.Mr.Miranda teaches that you can indulge in the guilty pleasures of life such as drinking, smoking, sex and basically anything in between because there are no sins.He says that his secret is knowing the hispanic people,he says " Music brings everything together".His meetings end up like a rave party where he professes to those in attendance liberty in his ways while joining in corruptive behavior. He believes that himself and those that follow him will take over the world and run the government of this so called "New Kingdom".I would say that Mr.Miranda is in indeed a modern day James Jones.
The Bible states in Matthew 24:4&5 4.Jesus told them "don't let anyone mislead you 5.For many will come in my name, say,I am the Messiah they will lead many astray" and in Timothy 4:1&2 1.Now the Holy Spirit tells us clearly that in the last of times some will turn away from what we believe;they will follow lying spirits and teachings that come from demons. 2.These teachings are hypocrites and liars. They pretend to be religious but their consciences are dead.
Personally I believe in God,heaven and hell and that all our actions have a reaction and that we should pay for any wrong doings in our lives and that we all have the option to be forgiven by our God.Mr.Miranda in my opinion is a farce on society and those that are following him are reaching for the last straw. His words are self indulgent and in my own thoughts to be wishy washy. One time he proclaims to be Apostle Paul and the next Jesus Christ, maybe he didn't receive the attention he wanted being Apostle Paul and now proclaiming to be Jesus Christ he's getting it.I believe that many will perceive Mr.Miranda to be obviously out of his mind and the impact being more so negative than positive.Daniel Alvarez a religion professor with a Masters degree in Theology from Harvard said " It disturbs me that Mr.Miranda fits the mold of a cult leader,he has total complete submission to his authority." I say that I agree with Daniel Alvarez.
