Jose Mourinho Leaves Chelsea

It is a fact. Jose Mourinho left Chelsea. This comes after the disappointing start of Chelsea`s Champions League campaign. Chelsea tied with Rosenborg at Stanford Bridge on Tuesday and the reaction of the fans the board of directors wasn't positive at all. Jose Mourinho`s leave could have been predicted since his last confrontations with the chairman of the club Roman Abramovich.

The tension between the chairman and the manager has been rising for the past couple of years. It is reported that Jose Mourinho first told the captain of the team: John Terry that he is no longer going to be the manager of the team.

Later on that night the whole squad has been notified that Jose Mourinho will be no longer the manager of Chelsea. In the next couple of days Jose Mourinho is going to fly to London to arrange a payoff for the departure of one of the most successful managers in Chelsea`s history. Jose Mourinho`s contract was set to expire in 2010 and it was worth almost 6 million pounds per year.

Jose Mourinho contacted key players via text messaging, explaining to them the whole situation and that he won't be the coach anymore.

At the moment there is a group of people which was gathered by Roman Abramovich in order to handle the situation. The speculations about a new coach are growing with the minute. Names like Guus Hiddink, Klinsmann and Didier Deschamps are being discussed.

Many people close to Abramovich have declared that the chairman wasn't happy with the performance of the team in the Champions League. The situation escalated after the Rosenbord fiasco. However there weren't any sort of indications from the board of the directors that Mourinho would be leaving Stanford Bridge.
Without a doubt Jose Mourinho will become one of the most memorable Chelsea managers.

He won many trophies with the Blues including last season`s FA Cup and League Cup, however he didn't achieve the main goal which Roman Abramovich set several years ago: The Champions League trophy.

The fan reaction is mixed; the fans of Chelsea are both surprised and shocked by the latest news around their favorite club. In the next couple of days Jose Mourinho will be giving a press conference to clarify the ending of his Chelsea career. It is important to know that rumors link Mourinho with other big soccer names like Barcelona and Juventus.

The board of the directors hasn't made any comments on the latest news. There should be an official press release in the next hours.

He entertained more in the press room, as Wenger said.
