After ABC's recent announcement, soap opera fans have been looking forward to the day that Josh Duhamel returns to All My Children as Leo du Pres.
Fans of All My Children will remember that Leo du Pres died in 2002, falling to his death at Miller Falls in Pine Valley while protecting his wife Greenlee from his mother Vanessa. His body was never found and Leo du Pres was assumed dead.
But soap opera fans knew that since the body was never found, Leo du Pres was probably not dead and that the character could return to All My Children some time in the future.
Soap opera fans were happy to hear that ABC announced several weeks ago that August 4, 2011 would be the day that Josh Duhamel returns to All My Children as Leo du Pres.
Leo's brother, Dr David Hayward, who has been secretly working on his Orpheus Project, has hinted to Leo's wife, Greenlee, that Leo may be alive. David's secret Orpheus Project involves using his stem cell research to secretly bring people back from the dead. Greenlee, who needs David's help with her own health issues, agrees to go with him to his clinic for treatment, hoping to find that Leo will be there.
The episode broadcast on August 4, 2011 begins with Greenlee and David in an exam room in his clinic outside of Pine Valley. Greenlee tells David that her life is in his hands but he can see that she is very apprehensive about it. David then tells her that he believes she may be faking her symptoms in order to spy on his Orpheus Project.
After several scenes of their argumentative banter back and forth, Greenlee decides to leave. David gets in her way and as she is struggling to get away, he injects her with a hypodermic needle. She passes out.
Soap opera fans, patiently watching, were not surprised that they had to wait until the last sixty seconds of the last scene of the episode for the appearance of Josh Duhamel as Leo du Pres.
Greenlee awakens on the floor of what looks to be a different exam room at David's clinic. She sees a sleeping figure lying on the exam table. Slowly she approaches as the camera moves in.
It's Leo, of course! Yes, soap opera fans, finally Josh Duhamel returns to All My Children as Leo du Pres!
In the upcoming episodes Leo, along with David, will tell Greenlee, and soap opera fans as well, what he has been doing since he left Pine Valley almost ten years ago.

Post a CommentWe were all left with the impression that Leo was a dream, but your last senence tells us otherwise. So,w hat did David do? Drag Greens out of Leo's room and dump her in Zachs? Or wheel Leo out and wheel Zach in? Here's my scenario of the end of AMC -- with 1/3 of PV in Oak Haven, and 1/3 in David's lab, I say the Oak Haven people escape, free the people from the Lab, who are really zombies, who, without David's care, turn into zombies and EAT all the rest of PV.

If you're happy , I'm happy. Never watched it.
Only on TV can they 'come back'....I'm sure lots of peole will be happy about it!
Good stuff my friend. I loved Karen's comment. It IS amazing how some "dead" characters are resurrected! LOL
I used to watch the soaps everyday. After I went to work the only time I could watch them was when I had a day off. The funny thing was that one time after not watching them for almost a year, I knew all the characters and not much had really changed. I'll have to forward this article to my girlfriend just in case she doesn't know!
I stopped watching the soaps a long time ago - it's interesting to hear about them and see that not much has changed over the years! cheers :)
Always cracks me up how they bring back the 'dead' characters....I'm sure some fans will be pleased:)
Thanks for the update.
