Josh Kelley Makes Smooth Transition from Pop to Country Music with New Album

Released on August 10 through iTunes, listeners are able to download Nashville singer/songwriter Josh Kelley's first country music crossover single "Georgia Clay" from his upcoming MCA Nashville Country Music debut release. Recently, Kelley ended a long-week promotional tour in support of the latest single "Georgia Clay" and his first Country album debut release. To further promote his crossover into the Country Music scene, Josh Kelley will play a series of Fall concerts within the United States, opening for fellow Country musical sensation Miranda Lambert on the Miranda Lambert Revolution tour. The concert tour kicks off on September 28 in New York and runs through December 10 in Las Vegas.

Inspirations behind the making of his first Country album release came from Kelley's wife, daughter, and younger brother. Shortly after his marriage to actress Katherine Heigl in 2007 and the successful birth of his beautiful daughter Naleigh, singer/songwriter Josh Kelley has had many positive influences to write about on his upcoming album. Kelley's younger brother Charles, part of the highly successful Country music trio Lady Antebellum, inspired Kelley to "go Country". Late last year, in an exclusive interview with Entertainment Weekly, Josh Kelley stated, "Country is where I'm going to live out the rest of my career."

Since releasing his debut album For The Ride Home in 2003, singer/songwriter Josh Kelley has found much success within the entertainment and recording industry. His first debut release spawned the top 40 romantic ballad "Amazing". After the successful debut, Josh Kelley released 5 more albums including 2008's Special Company which featured the stand-out track "Hey Katie", a personal ode to his adoring wife Katherine Heigl. Josh Kelley has graced the stages of the Bonnaroo Music Festival in Tennessee and has played alongside several well-known artists including Third Eye Blind and Rod Stewart.
