Josie, who is Michelle and Jim Bob Duggar's 19th child, went home to her eager family after being separated from her siblings for 3 weeks after 12 of them developed chicken pox.
Josie has had a long road to travel in the first months of her life. After being born premature December 10th, 2009 she spent many months in and out of the neonatal intensive care unit at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock. The entire family, along with Josie's struggles, have been captured weekly on the hit TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting.
Since being released from the hospital on June 3rd Josie and her mother Michelle Duggar have lived in a rented house near the hospital while her siblings recovered at home from the chicken pox with dad Jim Bob Duggar.
On June 25th mom and Josie made the trip from Little Rock back to their hometown of Tontitown, Arkansas where the residents lined the streets and houses with streamers, hand-made "Welcome Home" banners, old Christmas decorations and 17 of Josie's siblings waiting to greet her at home.
The last time Michelle Duggar really had a chance to be at home was before Christmas when the family was decorating their home for the holiday. Josie wasn't expected until early spring. Michelle developed preeclampsia and was forced to deliver Josie at only 25 weeks via an emergency C-section.
Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar report that Josie Duggar has grown into a "chunky" baby and currently weighs 9 lbs., 1 oz.
The family is still filming episodes of their reality show 19 Kids and Counting and say they want to explore a possible 20th addition to the family in the future.

Post a CommentDuggar's. I can't believe that you would even consider havng another child. You have been through such a time with with Josie, bless her heart and it could happen again. I feel it would be cruel to bring another child into your family and have something happen again or similar problems. Please don't take a chance. It would be very bad if you would have problems with a new one. Be happy with the children you have. I think children are a gift from God but there is a limit, Stop and think about your health.
