Journal Entry 1/3/2010

You know that I'm not a morning person God but I don't think you care when I pray as long as I do pray. I believe that the point of this Psalm is to pray to start the day and put our hope in you for a good day. So far I have been praying at night and not in the morning but it has been working for me and hopefully once I get in the routine of praying at night I can get in the routine of praying in the morning too.

I know that you are there waiting for me all day God and that you are glad when I pray and give thanks to you no matter what time of day it is. I know that it's not essential to pray in the morning as opposed to night but praying in the morning does get the day started off right. If I do get a job at a Christian school I can pray with my colleagues in the morning and that is something I'd really love to happen. Normally it isn't too often that I pray for you help and that is something I need to do more of even if it is at night before I go to bed. I know that nothing good can happen for me without your help and that you won't give me help if I don't ask for it.

Lately I have been wanting to pray more and I strong believe that it's because of your will God. I feel a spiritual peace when I pray and I feel closer to you when I pray too. I know I have been lacking in reading the Bible lately but I can only improve on so many areas at once and right now I am trying to focus on giving you any time at all other than church God.

I know that you didn't help me get passed my student teaching requirement the first time but I know that it happened for a reason and I know that you will help me get through it in the fall. You have helped me to always have food and shelter and friends and all the other basic necessities I need and I know that you're always going to help me with the things I need and I am forever grateful to you God.
