They are one of the most successful rock bands of all time. With over 75 million records sold, Journey had become a standard bearer for rock and roll. Originally founded in San Francisco in 1973, the band has released 13 studio albums over the years. The band can be separated into era by lead singer, first by Gregg Rolie, then Steve Perry, and now Steve Augeri, who has been with the band since 1998. Of the original founding members, only guitarist Neal Schon and Ross Valory remain. Current keyboardist Jonathan Cain, who joined the band in the early 1980's, helped craft the signature sound that made superstars of the band during the decade. Their albums "Escape" and "Frontiers" solidified their superstar status. They were honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2005.

    Victor, Victor, Victor. Why would you want to promote the band that effectively represents the absolute nadir of rock and roll? Wimpy ballads, flaccid rock, and those pretentious album covers and titles. On the other hand, you gotta love that scene in Caddyshack.
