The quest for a life of enlightenment has taken over
The lock inside my heart has willingly released its key
I am now allowing myself to see the purest and gentler side of me
I have completely let go which is the antithesis of who I am
I now recognize my circumstances are a part of God's plan
I will walk in countless valleys until my passion for my ambitions lead me to the right place
If I lose my emotional balance my hands will automatically bond together reminding me to pray
The person in the mirror is only judging the actions of its reflection
Here the tears from life's lessons fall freely on my face without worry of who sends commentary my way
It's been a long time coming to self acceptance but I am a better person for discovering it
I no longer covet the essence of my spirit because I love and truly feel it
And I fear not what's meant to be along my journey
For like a flower I may shed a few petals but my roots are planted securely
From now on my only desire is to be free in my expression by not letting my own self doubts discourage me
