Sing their gladdest howls, and the snowy drifts
Chime in the narrow lanes, and set aside
The inevitable sorrows and ancient angers
That poison the minds of men. I saw the
Joyous gift, the strength of a million
Voices stretched to heaven, laughing in their unity
And holding up a vision of One reborn
As hope flew forward once more.
I laughed for I felt his warmth
Despite the frost, He has come,
To those weak and strong, accompanied by
Tempests and Drifts, the King
Reborn in our thoughts, to bring glorious peace
To our hearts this day.
