Juanita Bynum: Most Influential Minister of 2006
When I researched the word "minister" here is what I found: "A member of the clergy of a Christian or protestant church/ Senior Officer of state in a government department, especially in the parliamentary system of government/ representing a country, especially in the rank of ambassador/ Somebody's agent or representative/ Give somebody help in need - administer something, for example aid, medicine or a sacrament".
Although Prophetess Juanita Bynum Weeks is more than a minister, I thought the definitions appropriate to what she is to the world. Prophetess is certainly a member of the clergy in that she ministers by teaching and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ; she most definitely is a Senior Officer representing Heaven and the heart of God through her prophetic voice and she administers life through giving the body of Christ hope through song.
I became acquainted with Bynum's ministry over ten years ago when I received some of her tapes as a gift titled "No more Sheets". I remember wondering at the time, "Who is this powerful woman of God"? Her anointing made me stand up and take notice that women could have a mighty voice in the Kingdom of God. I had never seen a woman preach with the passion that she has and realized that she would soon be a force to be reckoned with in the Body of Christ.
There are many men and women of God that have been a blessing to the world this year, but I have chosen Prophetess Bynum Weeks because of her overall contribution in being an author, a teacher, a preacher, a mentor, palmist, television and conference host. Prophetess currently has 3 musical projects out: Christmas with Juanita Bynum, Gospel Goes Classical with Jonathan Butler and her popular CD A Piece of My Passion. You have been an inspiration to many, may you continue in the ministry to which God has called you. Remember the testing of your faith worketh patience, no one said it would be easy but you've come to far to give up now so press on my sister. Jesus went through it how much more will you. Hello Mrs. Bynum, I just want to tell you to hold on and let God to continue to work with and on you. You were not exempt from trouble therefore you need to keep doing what you were called to do because you have inspired me in so many different ways. I really miss you and one day I would like to meet you personally. I truly thank God for you. Because of what God is doing in your life, many , many souls were captured. Hold on, stay encouraged, and know that God is. This is just another trial that you are going to go through and teach the ones who are willing to hear. Know that when you are called many things are going to come upon you because you are the shepard over the sheep. Don't forget, Jesus went through it so that we might be saved. Love you always and forever. You are and will always be an example for me in my life as a woman.
