Jubliee Apple Pecan Pie Recipe

This is a family favorite of ours for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Especially for those who can't decide if they want pecan or apple pie! This delicious family recipe will be a delight and sure to receive rave reviews.

Jubilee Apple Pecan Pie

Ingredients

10-inch pie crust
3 red apples, peeled and sliced thin
1 1/4 cup water
2 tablespoons of cornstarch
3/4 cup plus 2 tablespoons of sugar
3/4 cup graham cracker crumbs
6 tablespoons of raisins
1/2 cup softened butter
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon of vanilla
dash each of : cinnamon, mace and nutmeg

Place rack in middle of oven. Preheat to 400 degrees. Arrange apples over crust in pie pan. In a small saucepan mix 1 cup of water and 3/4 cup of sugar, bring to boil over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves; then boil 10 minutes longer without stirring. Add cornstarch dissolved in remaining water, and stir constantly until thick. Drizzle over apples. Mix graham cracker crumbs, butter, raisins and pecans in a bowl. Stir in remaining ingredients and sprinkle evenly over apples. Bake 15 minutes. Cover with foil, and bake 30 minutes longer.

    My hubby won't touch it because of the pecans, and I don't like raisens...but if I leave the rasiens out, and put a lot of pecans I can have the whole thing!!! LOL Great-sounding recipe!
