When you came into the room
The look upon your face
A time of restless doom.
You knelt before the traitor
You knew right there and then
He would be the one
He was not your friend
You went into the garden
On that dark and lonely night
You prayed to your Father
You knew the time was right
The man who did betray you
Judas was his name
He agreed to let them take you
Thirty coins just the same
On this night too
It was then
When Peter said
I don't know you
You knew dear Lord, the Shepherd
Your flock would surly scatter
You even knew the kiss
But would it really matter.
In the garden on that day
You cried out to the Lord
Forgive Them Father
That is what you said.
The tears that I shed now
Will my sins be justified
Forgive me Father
You were CRUCIFIED.

Wow, this is incredibly beautiful. I must compliment you. What a precious gift you have and I love how gifted you are; such a godly woman writer I must say. Thank you for this. I am getting ready to publish an article called "I Am Barabbas" & your poem made me think that I should have been crucified for I was guilty, but He was not. Yet this would wreckt he plan of redemption of the Father, thru the Son. Thank you for such an inspiring piece. My compliments.
