Judge Denies Charlie Sheen's Sole Custody Suit

Charlie Sheen has been through the rumor mill and back again for months. His extreme drug use along with his erratic behavior has shed light on his lifestyle, which in most cases, would have probably killed most people. He has boasted about his drug use and his wild living. He is currently separated from his wife who has custody of their twins . That is not the news today though. The news on Charlie today is that he is seeking custody of the twins after his wife entered rehab for her drug problem.

The twins, Bob and Max, were born 6 weeks early in 2009. Sheen and wife, Brooke Mueller were ecstatic over the newly born, healthy baby boys. The twins are now two years old and in the middle of one of the worst custody battles in the history of Hollywood. The reason that the custody battle is so bad is not the fact that both parents want custody of the children for the children's own good. That may well be what both parents think they are doing for the boys, but in reality, neither parent is currently suited to take care of these precious little men.

Charlie claims to be drug free right now. He may well be, but he needs serious help. He appears to have calmed down a bit. We don't see nearly as much of him in the news lately as we have over the past few months. That is a good sign that he is waking up to the realities of life. There are other problems though. There are accusations of abuse, which the judge brought up when Sheen showed up in court attempting to gain custody of the two boys.

The problem is that both parents have serious issues that make people fearful of either parent having actual custody of the boys. Sheen and Mueller are both abusive drug users. Sheen decided to attempt to gain full custody of the boys after Mueller entered rehabilitation. He stated that he was willing to take a drug test to prove that he has not been using drugs. Is it too soon to tell if Charlie Sheen is really ready to handle the job of raising twin two year olds?

Charlie Sheen was fired from his position as Charlie in the hit television series Two and a Half Men . The show's success was thought to be because of Charlie Sheen. There were several ideas as to what would happen to the show. There were rumors that Rob Lowe would replace Sheen on the show. That is not the case because Lowe is in a contract with another network at this time. In any case, Sheen has a lot of work to do before people will be convinced that he should have custody of the twins.

It is time for Sheen and his estranged wife to do the right thing for the twins. Getting their act together is a good first step. Nothing good usually comes from drug and alcohol abuse. These kids need stable parents that can raise children the way that children ought to be raised. Charlie Sheen seems to live in his own fantasy world most of the time. He is now touring, giving accounts of his truth . The show has bombed in some areas while apparently being a hit in other areas.

The question remains as to whether Charlie Sheen or his estranged wife should raise the children. It is not an easy question to answer. A judge will be doing just that though. Sheen has opened the case and will try to win custody while Brooke is in rehab . The judge is not going to be that easy to convince though. He cleared the courtroom of all media before continuing to discuss unknown details about abuse . There has been no information relating what the abuse might have been. It could mean abuse against Brooke. It could have been abuse against the children. Odds are that Sheen was abusive towards his wife though. That tends to be something that Sheen has a problem with.

There are still many fans that back Charlie Sheen all the way. There are more people that wish he would get his act together and stop making headlines all the time. It gets boring after a while. The public can only take so much drama before they turn the subject off and move on to the next. Charlie may have run his course. Fans, along with the rest of the world, hope he gets better and is able to live a life suitable as a father of two small children. I am rooting for the children. The parents do not matter. All that matters is that those children have a good home to live in less the drama that always seems to follow Sheen wherever he goes.

As for the moment, the children are living with Brooke's mother while Brooke is in rehab. The judge has denied Charlie Sheen sole custody of the boys. He did, however, grant Sheen visitation rights. He has not had visitation with the boys since they were removed from his home in March. Charlie must continue to pass drug tests in order to continue having visitation with the children.
