Juicing to improve infertility would probably never come to mind for most people. However, the standard American diet pales in comparison to what the benefits of juicing can be for any woman experiencing infertility. Especially if the infertility has been a problem for quite a length of time. I applaude any infertile couple that considers a healthier diet and lifestyle to solve their problem. Men as well as women can improve their infertility with a diet that includes raw juicing and the following information can be used in both cases.
My Personal Experience
It's been my experience with infertile women asking for my help, that as odd and obscure as it may seem, once they've made the change in their lives to implement juicing, and then perservere with it, going on into months and years, will find at one point or another that they have stronger fertility signs. Signs like high quality cervical mucus, increased libido, an onset of regular ovulation and noticeable cervical activity such as significant opening and closure will all seem to present themselves when enough time given to juicing regularly up to 3 times daily is adhered to with dedication and commitment. That's the real key to success. Being commited to saying no to old eating habits that include lots of processed, sweet food is the other part of being successful in achieving pregnancy. It takes both.
Juicing for the Beginner
Juicing doesn't have to be difficult, or a long thought out process. Especially for those who are just starting out. Make things easy on yourself when you're first starting to juice. Juicing is medicinal and once you really get more of a palate for it you will be able to tolerate some strong flavors that ooze with good things to detox and purify the liver and body for health to thrive. Once your health is thriving overall, you'll start to see positive fertility signs to go with it. Some easy on the tastebuds flavors to begin with include:
- Carrot and apple
- Apple, cranberry
- Carrot, celery, apple
- Apple, ginger, beet, carrot (small amount of ginger)
- Apple, strawberry, carrot
Once you find yourself with tolerance for these types of flavors, try adding beets to some of the combinations. Beets are very liver cleansing which is paramount for those with infertility. If the liver is cleansed, the rest of the body will follow, leaving your reproductive organs throughout your body clean and well maintained.
You can also begin to add more medicinal types of plants to your juices that are potent detoxifiers once you feel more acclimated to the beets. Plants like cilantro, parsley and red cabbage are just a few of those types of foods that pack a powerful cleansing punch.
