After having her children, the actress became a mommy first and put her acting career on the back burner. Once known mostly for her role in 'Pretty Woman' has been stated saying "I want my career to be known to my children as more than the actress of Pretty Woman".
So, acting has taken a BIG backseat for Julia. She took part in a Dave Matthews music video, did two movie voice characters; one in 'Charlotte's Web' and one in the 'Ant Bully' and starred in a Broadway play 'Three Days Rain' nearly only a year after she had had her twins; Hazel and Phinnaeus.
Other than those 'little' (well she claimed doing the voice characters were not as 'easy' as she thought it would be) roles she has played, Julia has not been speaking of doing anything more than possibly moving away from L.A. and settling down with her children. With her third baby on its way due in the summer, she will definitely have her hands more than full with now, three children to tend to and pamper.
Thinking of her children and the world they have to live in now, Julia decided she needed to do more to help get the word out to the world and become more of an 'green activist'.
So, with a vengeance, like her character in the Movie, Erin Brokovich, Julia decided to become more 'earth friendly' and be the next 'more widely' known 'Green Actress'.
She went on the Oprah Show to promote becoming earth friendly and a 'green activist'. Julia said you just never know the power of show business and the number of people you can reach out to, until you have been on the Oprah show. She still thinks of herself though as "Only an ordinary person with an extraordinary job".
Julia encouraged parents to speak to their school system administrators about going to bio-diesel fuel for the buses. Even when going grocery shopping, Julia carries her own bags to carry her groceries back in, helping to save the environment 'one person at a time'.
Her husband, Daniel Moder, even jumped on the bandwagon by recently buying Julia a diesel car that would be big enough for her ever growing family AND can and I am most certainly sure WILL run off of bio-diesel fuel. Julia was quoted as to have said "It's amazing how exciting all this is."

Post a Commentoh well, big lips and all!!
Nice article about one of my favorit actresses.
Thanks for an enjoyable read. I like Julia. She seems to have grown into a mature (not old) person who is a good role model compared to the rest of Hollywood. And she is really likeable.
