The 17th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards (SAG) aired Sunday, Jan. 30, 2011. Actors gathered together to attend the award ceremony and find out which one of them would go home with the award for their categories.

The nominees for outstanding performance by a female actor in a drama series were Glenn Close for "Damages," Mariska Hargitay for "Law & Order: SVU," Julianna Margulies for "The Good Wife," Elisabeth Moss for "Mad Men," and Kyra Sedgwick for her performance in "The Closer."

The nominees for these awesome television series were all worthy of winning the award, but only one could go home with the SAG, and that one woman was Julianna Margulies.

Julianna was looking very classy in her long red dress and hair pulled back. Margulies rushed up to the stage and began her speech. She was breathlessly excited, considering that this would make her 14th nomination and the second win for her category. She also holds six awards for her performance on the television drama series "ER."

During her acceptance speech, she thanked many people, but included a surprise thank you to her in-laws at the end:

"I would like to thank my in-laws...Ken and Jane Lieberthal, thank you for producing the most spectacular human being who I get to call my husband. My life is just better with you in it Keith."

Julianna Margulies has had a long career in television drama over the years and she still appeared genuinely surprised and happy to win the award in her category again. Her fellow nominees also appeared happy for her to win again. Her role in "The Good Wife" is an amazing role and certainly one worth a SAG Award.
