Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks Call it Quits

Julianne Hough, the beautiful and talented ballroom dancer and singer, and her handsome boyfriend, country singer Chuck Wicks, have split up, according to People.com. The two reportedly met while on tour with Brad Paisley last summer and their relationship caught fire very quickly. In fact, after knowing each other for only five months, Julianne Hough told People that the two had marriage on their minds.

On last season's Dancing With the Stars, Julianne Hough, 21, and Wicks, 30, danced their way to a fifth place finish. But, alas, the couple that danced together on the hit ABC reality show did not stay together off the dance floor and are reportedly going their separate ways.

Indeed, to say that Julianne Hough and Chuck Wicks were a beautiful couple is an understatement. What's more, both come across as very decent and down to earth people. That is why the demise of their relationship may come as a surprise to many - despite the fact that celebrity couples rarely have successful, longterm relationships.

Singer Jessica Simpson and Dallas Cowboy QB Tony Romo reportedly split up last July. The two had been dating for over a year and, interestingly, the relationship proved to be problematic for some Cowboys fans, who blamed Simpson for Romo's lackluster performances on the field.

In September, Playboy founder Hugh Hefner, 83, filed for divorce from his 47-year-old estranged wife, former Playmate Kimberly Conrad Hefner. The two had been separated for 11 years. Hef's current girlfriends include 22-year-old Crystal Harris and 19-year-old twins Karissa and Kristina Shannon.

Reality TV star Kate Gosselin and Jon Gosselin, who once starred together in TLC's enormously popular "Jon & Kate Plus 8," announced their breakup on an a special hour-long episode of the show last summer.

Pop star Billy Joel's marriage to Katie Lee Joel (his third) ended in June after five years. At the time of their marriage, Joel was 55 and Katie Lee was 23.

Actress Anne Hathaway and her real estate investor boyfriend Raffaello Follieri split up in June of 2008. Follieri was arrested that same year for misappropriating $50 million of investors' funds, and, understandably, Anne Hathaway concluded that continuing the relationship would have a deleterious effect on her career.
