Julianne Moore to Play Sarah Palin on HBO
If the choice of Julianne Moore is flattering to former vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, the book Game Change: Obama and the Clintons, McCain and Palin, and the Race of a Lifetime is not.In fact, you can glance Left and Right in Game Change and both sides look pretty bad. This book about the '08 presidential race between Barack Obama and John McCain was written by political journalists John Heilemann and Mark Halperin.Whether or not the screen adaptation will lean one way more than the other makes for interesting speculation.
More interesting speculation: Who will play Obama? (Will Smith? ) Who wants to portray McCain? (Anybody?) And how about Hillary, and will Bill even be in it?
Danny Strong is writing the screenplay, and Jay Roach is directing. According to The Hollywood Reporter "HBO did not say when production on the film might begin."

I won't watch this HBO movie even with Julianne Moore playing Palin
I'm not sure I'd watch this, although I DO like Moore.
Not much of a movie watcher myself but I know when to read a great writer....that would be YOU! :-)
Ah, a comedy! (Just kidding). Julianne Moore is a lovely actress. George C. Scott could have played McCain - except I think he died, unfortunately. There's an actor that looks so much like Obama - I can see him in my head but I can't for the life of me think of his name right now. It'll come to me.
That's an odd choice. The two look nothing alike.
