In Boulder, the farmer's market will be open as usual on Wednesday evening from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. as will the 15 wine and beer gardens at the market running from late June to late September. Plan on seeing the fireworks at Boulder Country Fairgrounds at 9:30 p.m.

At the Douglas County Fairgrounds and Events Center, the celebration starts at 4 p.m. and runs until the fireworks finale at 9:30 p.m. The celebration begins with an opening ceremony and the Air Force Color Guard at 4:15 p.m. There will be food, a car show and more. Chris Daniels and the Kings will put on a concert at 8 p.m. before the fireworks.

Enjoy the purple mountains majesty with a scenic drive from Denver to Manitou Springs. Take US-285 west, 126 south towards Pine, at Deckers, take 67 south to Woodland Park and from there take US 24 south to Manitou Springs. Alternatively, just head south on I-25 from Denver. Once in town, enjoy the Buffalo Bar-B-Q at Soda Springs Park. There will be food, crafts, Native American dancers, barbequed buffalo and more!
