For the 17th year the City of Miami Beach will host a Fourth of July Celebration. Be on the beach at 73nd and Collins Avenue before 7PM to get the best spots. The event starts at
7 p.m. with the induction of children from all over the world into citizenship, followed by a musical performance by the Miami Symphony Orchestra and fireworks.
The City of North Miami Beach will also have a celebration going on at the FIU Biscayne Bay Campus. 3000 NE 151st St. North Miami, Florida 33181 (305) 893-6511, ext. 2228
It will be like a giant block party with entertainment, family activities, a special concert and plenty of food. And of course fireworks.
Not to be out done by its neighbors in any way, the City of South Miami Beach will have their own celebration starting at 6PM at Palmer Park 6120 SW 67th Ave. Miami, Florida 33155 (305) 663-6319. With all the fireworks going on, the Miami coast will be lit up like a Christmas Tree in July.
If you are looking for something to do before the fireworks, consider coming to The Barnacle Historic State Park for a July 4th picnic in the park. The park is open from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM and there will be special activities for the whole family from 11:00 AM - 3:30 PM Make it a fun day and come in colonial costume. Spend the day playing lawn games and the kids can learn how to make their own kits from scratch. Just bring the family and a picnic basket and relax before the excitement in the evening.
For those who like to view the fireworks from a distance, you can take a dinner cruise on Biscayne Bay with Celebration Crusing. You will cruise on a 92 foot yacht and enjoy Hors d'oerves and Jumbo Bay Dogs while watching the Bayfront Park Laser Light Show and fireworks. There will be two bars open for drinks and a DJ for those who want to dance on the water. A Floribbean Water Experience
