July Awareness Month

July is the Awareness Month for several worthy causes and issues. Some you probably aren't even aware of. I know I wasn't. July is awareness month for over twenty different causes and issues. This article will only touch on a few of the issues I felt were more important.

For starters the whole month of July is Bioterrorism/Disaster Education and Awareness Month. With all of the unexpected happenings in the world, 9-11 and hurricanes it is important that we are prepared for an emergency disaster. This is why July is awareness month for Bioterrorism/Disaster Education. It is very important to educate yourself and be prepared.

Take this time to educate yourself and your whole family on what to do in any type of disaster. Get a plan ready and have needed supplies handy if you ever need them. Check out my article on The Basics Of A First Aid Kit.

The month of July is also National Make A Difference To Children Month. I think this is very important, and frankly, every month should be National Make A Difference To Children Month. We should always strive to make a difference in a child's life. The main purpose is to bring a smile to a child's face and be a shining light in their life.

On a lighter and fun side, July is National Grilling Month. It is probably safe to say that we have all probably grilled at least once so far this month. Grilling is great! The food taste better, your husband gets to do the cooking, and the clean up is easy! So get grillin! Check out my article Winter Barbecue Ideas. National Vehicle Theft Protection month is July. We can always be a little safer when it comes to our vehicles. I think sometimes we get a little lax when it comes to being safe. Especially when living in a small town. Even we don't live in a small town we can get into a routine where we take safety for granted and stop being aware. This month make it a point to be aware of your surroundings and take the necessary steps to protect your vehicle.
