July offers heat and sunshine and also some great new rock music. New rock releases and launches often take place on Tuesdays during the month but these dates are subject to change. As of this moment, July offers some of the hottest new rock music releases for the summer including new music from Bret Michaels, Korn and Avenged Sevenfold.

New Rock Music Releases- July 6th
Bret Michaels long awaited 'Custom Built' hits record stores everywhere. Michaels, winner of Celebrity Apprentice, worked with multiple artists on this album including Miley Cyrus and Brad Arnold of 3 Doors Down. 'Custom Built' features rock mixes as well as a country version of "Every Rose" and a cover of Sublime's "What I Got". "Custom Built"is Michaels 4th solo album.

Live may have disbanded in 2009 but Ed Kowalczyk is still making beautiful music. His first solo album 'Alive' hits stores on July 6th. According to the Sentimentalist, "Alive is indeed Kowalczyk's John Parr/"St. Elmo's Fire" moment; this is the chronicle of his creative (and emotional) breakdown, breakthrough, Jerry Maguire adventure." Definitely an album to look forward to especially knowing that Chris Daughtry sings with Kowalczyk on the song "Drink (Everlasting Love)".

New Rock Music Releases- July 13th
Korn III releases 'Remember Who You Are' which according to Jonathon Davis (lead singer) will be "simple" and "about the vibe". This album is expected to be less complex than recent Korn albums and feel like a return to the original Korn sounds heard on the 'Life is Peachy' album.

If your a fan of old school pop rock a notable new CD release from Crowded House might be up your alley. Crowded House's 'Intriguer' hits shelves on July 13th along with Korn's new album.

New Rock Music Releases- July 20th
Sheryl Crow's '100 Miles from Memphis' is the first female rock release on the list and worthy of placement on the list. '100 Miles from Memphis' will have Crow ditching her pop rock and sounds for Memphis soul. Other artist you will hear on the album include Kieth Richards, Citizen Cope and Justin Timberlake.

The High Confessions, a band comprised of Chris Connelly (Ministry) and Steve Shelley (Sonic Youth), will be releasing 'Turning Lead into Gold with High Confessions' on July 20th.

New Rock Music Releases- July 27th
Avenged Sevenfold releases 'Nightmare', the first album released after the death of drummer James "The Rev" Sullivan. "The Rev" contributed to some of the song writing on the album and as a tribute the band kept his vocals in place. "Nightmare", the first single off the album, was released on May 18th and peaked on the U.S. Billboard Heatseekers Song Chart at #1.
