14 Men Remain:
The guys still in Ali Fedotowsky's potential dating pool are Chris Lambton, Chris N., Craig Robinson, Frank Neuschaefer, Hunter Wagner, Jesse Beck, John Crivello, Jonathon Novack, Justin Rego, Kasey Kahl, Kirk DeWindt, Roberto Martinez, Steve Kocsis, and Ty Brown.
One-on-One Dates:
Roberto was given the first impression rose, so he and Ali went out on the first date. Soon a helicopter arrived to pick them up for their walking a tightrope date. Ali said she was scared and that she had never been in a helicopter before, and Roberto was quick to comfort her. I thought she was faking it actually. Soon, they were 20 stories up in the air walking a tightrope, in order to get to the other side, so that they could have their dinner and date. I think Roberto is a nice, fun, and real guy and he could be perfect for Ali.Roberto is a 26-year-old Insurance Agent, from Charleston, South Carolina. You can tell he is a fun guy, who luckily is also very down-to-earth. They seem to have a good connection, and I have no doubts that he will get a rose.
Hunter also got a one-on-one date with Ali. He went to her house, or should I say mansion, and they cooked out on the grill.
The Nice Guys:
Those who stand out as nice guys and potentially good matches for Aliinclude Roberto, Chris L., Ty, Craig Robinson. I might even put Kirk on the good guy list, yet I don't see him ending up with Ali, not at this part of the game.
Kasey is a really nice guy too, but I don't think he and Ali will end up together.
There are other nice guys as well that have yet to really make their voice heard much on the show. Some of the guys have stayed on the sidelines. So, no doubt more of them will be revealed as the season gets further along.
Guys I Am Suspicious of OR deem not right for Ali include:
Jonathon is the weatherman from Houston Texas. He seemed a bit too nervous when he was given cue cards that said he would give Ali a passionate kiss. The other guys were jealous, and Jonathon was scared. Isn't that what he is there for? To kiss, and be with Ali? I didn't understand his nervousness, unless he is not there for the right reasons...he is totally not Ali's type. Other than being a nice guy. He isn't strong or confident enough for Ali, that is my opinion. He does, however, seem like a nice guy, but I think he is really gay, but pretending to not be. Or maybe he doesn't know it yet? There is nothing wrong with being gay, but if you are, don't pretend you are not. If you are, that is. I am still unsure of Jonathon's motivation for coming on this show. This is after all a dating show! I think Jonathon is going home, if not tonight then very soon.
Justin
He is on crutches, and seems like a nice guy, but I think if he weren't on crutches we would see that he is perhaps, just a pretty boy with no substance. Maybe I am wrong, it is still early in the game to say for sure. But I think he is just a guy that normally relies on his looks to get women. Did you see that gleam in his eye that seemed to say "You know you want me!". Guess we will see if my instincts prove to be true.
Frank seems like a nice guy, and although he and Ali do have a connection, I think he is going to reveal himself as a bit too possessive. He certainly gets jealous way too soon. And if he turns possessive, that will be a deal-breaker between the two. That is the only reason I did not include Frank in the list of good matches for Ali. If by episode 3 they get possessive then they are going to be that way, but more so in a relationship. And no one wants that type of relationship. Hopefully he will pull back a bit, and not be out of the game. But only time will tell...
Hunter is a nice guy, you can tell, but I don't think he and Ali have a connection, at all. He even got a one-on-one date, unlike all the other guys, except Roberto, and still no connection. By the end of their date she admitted that she had no strong connection to Hunter, and that he would not be getting a rose. And so, as I guess Hunter was officially sent home. Hunter was a nice guy, no doubt, and I hope to see him find love, or a future show! It won't be easy to find some he has a connection with, after all he is a super down-to-earth, and nice guy. By the end of the show the guys realized that it was Justin who took away from Ali's date, when he snuck to her house - without the other guys knowing. By then Hunter was long gone. And the guys were pissed that the pretty boy won one over them. Justin is too tricky to be a good match for Ali.
The Music:
The Barenaked Ladies arrived for Ali's group date, and the guys got the chance to be in the band's music video, debuting their new song, You Run Away. And most of the scenes were funny, or intense.
In the end, the music video turned out really good. I love the Barenaked Ladies new song, it is much better, and more heartfelt, than their old music. Just saying..
Who Received 1st Roses:
Those who received roses during their dates included Roberto, who she has a solid connection with. Kirk, who Ali made out with during the music video, and even longer than was scripted.
Roses at the End:
Chris L., Jesse, Chris N., Ty, Kasey, Craig, Frank, Jonathon, and Justin.
Who Went Home:
Hunter (I predicted that one) went home early on in the show, and then Steve and John C. were both sent home at the end.
This season is certainly beginning to really heat up!
