All I could hear was the sounds of the jungle surrounding me. Exotic birds, hissing reptiles and other unknown predators were keeping their ever watchful eyes upon me. I crept through, however, alert as ever.
SNAP! I stepped on a twig. My eyes darted to and fro, and I thought I was safe. Wrong! A mighty roar erupted from a bush several yards away. Without looking back, I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. There it was! My precious jeep! I was never so happy to see it in my life.
I honestly don't know how I made it to my vehicle before the tiger reached me. I quickly shoved my keys into the ignition and tore the dirt up as I sped away. That would be the last time that I ever decided to walk in the jungle alone, for the sake of a monkey who stole my camera.
