Just 24 hours from the time
I became yours
I gave myself fully
Completely to you
And now you've been taken
I became yours
I gave myself fully
Completely to you
And now you've been taken
Just 12 hours from the time
A future agreed
Promises of forever
Nevermore to be
You've been taken from me

Post a CommentVery sad.
Heart wrenching.
sad yet so true to life
What a vicious turn of events that time can do. So much in such a short time. I think anyone with emotions can identify with this classic work friend.
Both my daughter and my son loss a child at birth. Such pain always lay near to the heart, healed perhaps, but never forgotten.
So sad and heart-felt!
Great poem, so very sad.
