Just Around the Corner
Warm, golden rays of sunshine in more abundance,
Thermometer rising, snow melting.
Grass appearing in greater expanses,
Mud tracked into the house (wipe your feet, please!),
Flower shoots and buds on the trees appearing.
Birds are singing more and more,
Daylight breaking earlier and lasting longer,
Daylight Savings Time soon to take effect.
Calmer, balmier breezes blow;
Away with the heavy coats, hats and mittens,
And pull out the lighter articles of attire.
Spirits become brighter in the warmth and the light;
The desire to hibernate, curled up in safe shelter,
Gives way to anticipation of outdoor delights and renewed activity.
Spring is just around the corner.

we actually had a cooler than normal winter here in Florida. Finally, we take our coats off.
