Just Ask Charlie

Dan Reveal
I'm glad I was lucky to be your friend
in those times that were tough.
I used to be so easily confused,
thinking that the softness of your skin
was my chance to act so rough.

Just ask Charlie if dogs go to Heaven,
and if they have the chance to run free.
Throw your grudges into the glass canyon,
and just ask Charlie if you should still love me.

Are the winters harsher where you live,
or does the thought of love keep us warm?
I used to be so easily confused,
thinking that the kindness of your face
was my chance to cause you harm.

And would you accept my apology,
if I handed it to you on a silver plate?
It hurts much less to say nothing at all,
than to say "I love you" when it's too late.

It hurts much less to say nothing at all,
than to say "I love you" when it's too late.

Just ask Charlie if dogs go to Heaven,
and if they have the chance to run free.
Throw your grudges into the glass canyon,
and just ask Charlie if you should still love me.

Very, very nice! I'm sure Charlie is playing ball in Heaven now. My parents took good care of here in the later years, and they were the best five years of her life. Thanks for doing this. :)

as touching as the pure love that our pets give to us so ...that love must run free in heaven to be heaven:0)
