You have heard it all!
Drink 8 glasses of water a day (2 liters)! Don't get dehydrated! Drinking water is important for your health!
Have you really try it. That is, drinking more water and see how you feel??
I did it and this is my experience.
I am overweight and was feeling always tired. I know I need to lose weight but is so difficult although not impossible. One day I read one article about the benefits of drinking more water, and before saying "well this is the old same thing," I got very interested. After reading I said why not give it a try. After all I always feel tired, with head and muscle aches, mentally exhausted, etc
So I started with the 8 glasses a day goal. The first day I got to 4, then to 5 and by the third day I was drinking my 8 glasses a day. First thing I noticed I was going more to the bathroom. I though: this must be good, I am getting rid off excess toxic waste.
Then, about a week into the program, I started to feel I had less headaches. Instead of taking 2 pills a day for those headaches, there were a couple of a days I did not take any! Wow, this must be the water thing. I also noticed I was drinking less soda and perhaps eating less because I was feeling full before going to lunch or dinner. However, I did not loose that much weight. I would estimated a pound or 2 in three months.
About a month into my 8 glass a day journey I noticed I was feeling less tired. I remember it really was a pain to go from floor 3 to floor 4 at my work (which I had to do quite a few times during my work day). It was easier, I felt I could do it without effort. Once I even were running through the stairs (because it was an urgency) and when I was at the 4th flour I was not that tired.
I started to read more about the benefits of increasing water intake for our health. I had experienced the effects: more energy, eating a little bit less, almost no head or muscle headaches, increased mental sharpness, etc. Once I read these articles I though yes, yes I have experienced all these benefits and that is why I decided to share them with you.
