Though not quite parsimonious
I try to be simple
Fancy things are nice
But not everything
I'm a sentient being
Capable of being hurt
Contrite with the pain
That never seems to escape
I wish not to be free of it
For it is what remains
Of my former emotions
It is what keeps me sane
Strange as it may seem
I am in love with the pain
That my loneliness brings
It has been the one constant
That has never forsaken me
I try to be simple
Fancy things are nice
But not everything
I'm a sentient being
Capable of being hurt
Contrite with the pain
That never seems to escape
I wish not to be free of it
For it is what remains
Of my former emotions
It is what keeps me sane
Strange as it may seem
I am in love with the pain
That my loneliness brings
It has been the one constant
That has never forsaken me
