Just Half

When I wake I'm excited,
Because there is hope,
I'm alive,
I survived,
Only with God could that be possible,
I know,
I just need to show it more,
I just need a little more opportunity to knock at my door,
I've got off the floor,
And I refuse to be on my knees,
But life still got me hunched over,
Still got to keep looking over my shoulder,
I fight better now,
Is it because I'm older?
No!
It's because I've learned,
I know,
Still I'm stuck on the other side,
Personal life is Beautiful,
It's the work life I don't like,
It's like half and half,
I can't stand that job,
They try to rob me of the joy God gives me,
and the economy has robbed me of finding another job,
So one half is good,
and the other half is racist and wrong,
These people think I'm stupid and dumb,
But I'm going to move on,
Forget that half,
and thank God for both.
