But Jane made it possible
Even with her terminal cancer
Her Doctor's only gave her twelve months to live
But God gave her years more
And with that time she ran marathons
Crushed Triathlons and smashed Iron mans
Jane the Giant challenge killer
Nothing was too big for her to take on
And in her triumphant wake
She left so many people
So much the better
We were fortunate to have had her
I was fortunate to have been able to call her my friend
(This goes out to Jane's Family and is written in her memory she left this world for a better place on the 3rd of September 2007 she will be greatly remembered and missed)

Post a CommentBy the way Jane had already been elevated (The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) to a MBE which is a member now her status is as a Commander (CBE) to clarify to those that might not know what a CBE is and it's historical significance.
I actually had a chance to follow Jane Tomlinson's (my friend)historical ride in July of 2006. I blogged about her,her husband, her family and her bike team as they rode across the USA 4200 miles to raise money to help others fight cancer she raised 250,000 British sterling pounds. I had hopes of joining them for THE Jane Tomlinson's Run For All (10 KM charity Run)in January. I never had the chance. I just recently found out about my friends passing. The Royal Family conferred a once in a lifetime honor on her in June 2007 while she was living she was elevated to a CBE (The Most Excellent Order of the British Empire). Jane & Tom's son Steven received her CBE from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace on the 15th of November 2007.
