Just like My Dad
The Men of My Dreams
My Dad was the apple of my eye
A fun-loving man and all-around good guy!
A group hug awaited his arrival each day
And I'd have my big buddy, so we could play!
As I grew older and started dating
The guys never passed my tough rating!
Until I met one special man
Who fit right into my endless plan!
A man who seemed so much like him
I knew right away it was not just a whim!
So nearly fifty years have come and went
And I'm still here with my favorite gent!
But if it had not been for my Daddy dear
I'd have never been here with this husband I revere!
