Just Making Sure----

Deneale K. Williams
Do you hear me when I talk to myself?

Do you listen when I say things in my head?

There are so many people, not just me!--

Often I wonder-would you rather be listened to instead?

~

I have been doing a lot of thinking lately,

Learned a lot about myself and my mistakes--

Although I may not have changed completely;

Life still has its gives and takes!

~

I've been talking to You when I'm bored,

Talking to You as I fall asleep too--

Been putting pieces of my life back together;

I've even made certain to thank You too!

~

All I need from You now,

Is plain and simple you see--

I need from You guidance;

To make the new improved : "ME!"

~

You've helped many of people before me,

Famous, the poor, the weary, the lost--

I've always had You in my life you see;

I became distracted, and paid with a cost.

~

I know You will help me,

You never turn anyone down--

Together You can help and guide me;

And we can turn my life around.

~

Within this poem is a prayer you see,

I am asking for Your guidance and wisdom;

And whatever else that may need be--

Seeking my latter reward in your Kingdom!

~

Place your hand on my shoulder,

Lead me to do what is right--

Guide me like all of your Children;

And bless me with this fight!

~

This poem, in case you were unable to understand and follow it, is asking for the guidance from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Sometimes I feel life is and has always thrown me curve balls and the Devil is always interfering. I wrote this so that you too, the reader can see, none of us are perfect. We all make our share of mistakes. We all have our share of trials and tribulations. I know to ask Him, to stand with us-me, and yes-you. Remain strong, and focused. As the bible states in the Lord's prayer itself: "Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from Evil." Don't be afraid to ask for help. He is listening, even when you think He is not, have faith- He loves you, and is always there for you.

I love to read, write, do crafts and spend time with friends and family. It has been said that I am loud and outgoing. I'm open minded, and honest. Family first. I love my family, I love helping others too!...  View profile

    I'm not logged in because I only came on here for this, but, yes, it's me. - Excellent job with this one. Very true. Everyone has struggles, but the important thing is to go to Him for guidance and wisdom.
