Several weeks earlier, I upgraded my cell phone to a Motorola. I love my phone. The sound is crystal clear. Although I knew I'd have to pay a bit to the phone company that I bought it from, they promised a rebate form when the phone was sent out. You don't have to guess. I got my phone but no rebate form. I have yet to tackle this company. The aforementioned computer company was stealing too much energy to deal with yet another giant cooperation. But I ponder, just who is responsible.
While all of this was going on, I had blood work done at a local hospital. You guessed it. Something happened to the specimen and I had to go back and repeat having to give another specimen. I wondered what happened; who was responsible? At least there, I was given an apology and a gift card to a local store as a way of apology for the inconvenience by having to have the specimen redrawn.
Today was the most amusing of the incidences. I am a klutz and fall or trip over things on a rather frequent basis. I've come to know some of the emergency room workers on a first name basis (never a good sign). Today my insurance company lost the paperwork from two doctor/ER visits for injuries sustained at my home. The woman that called me had the details in front of her. She explained she needed me to fill out the paperwork again for another department. "That's insane", said I. Those injuries had occurred more than a year ago and I have had a stroke so I have trouble remembering what happened yesterday. I wonder, who is responsible.
My mind whirls as I think of these incidents. I think of the waste of time and money involved as companies try to resolve problems that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. I've worked in a large company where you are pushed so hard mistakes are made because of unreasonable deadline, hostile work environments. Maybe if we all took a breath, slowed down a bit, did our jobs correctly in the first place money wouldn't be wasted. The quality of American made goods would be so superior that there would be less out-sourcing and our economy would improve. I ponder, just who could be responsible for that?
