"A Ray of Hope for Patricia 'Sunshine' Tervit," a fundraiser being held March 14, 1-6 p.m. at The Velvet Underground Room/Hard Rock Cafe located at 215 Peachtree Street NE, will honor a woman who has given a great deal to the community and is now in need herself after a recent hospitalization.
The special concert will commemorate the many special accomplishments Tervit is known for affiliated with The Hard Rock Café.
"Sunshine is most known for her big heart, helping others, and is loved by all," states the Facebook organizer for the cause.
Performers include Peter Stroud, who performs with Sheryl Crowe, Joey Huffman of Matchbox 20 and Soul Asylum, Chris Hicks of the Marshall Tucker Band, Rick Richards of the Georgia Satellites, and many more.

In unrelated health news, U.S. Olympic skier Bode Miller is auctioning off his signed helmet worn in the Vancouver Games for breast cancer awareness for his friend and former ski team tech Pam Warman who was recently diagnosed with the illness. The bidding will end the night of March 10. (Source: The Huffington Post).
The five medal winner and World Cup champ decided to auction off his autographed helmet on eBay to help Warman, a resident of South Lake Tahoe, with her health expenses.
