Moving right along - here's the bit you really care about - how all the products worked out on actual testers!
AlphaMale Daily Face Wash - $21
This gel definitely cleans well, but the lack of foam may leave some men looking for a bar of soap for their suds-satisfaction.
AlphaMale Refining Face Scrub - $23
Synthetic beads do any excellent job of smoothing out the rough spots, but it is definitely for the normal, or normal-to-oily skin type. It does foam slightly, and one would need to be very careful to keep it away from the eye area. Rinsing also takes a little more effort than some scrubs, but overall it's a very thorough product.
AlphaMale Smooth Shave Formula - $20
Exactly what it sounds like, this lightly-foaming shave gel delivers a close shave, though the skin can be slightly taut afterwards, and a moisturizer was necessary.
AlphaMale Saving Face Lotion - SPF 15 - $29
This is a standard moisturizer with a minimum amount of sunscreen. Though the fragrance isn't strong (none of the products have a strong fragrance), it does have the typical sunscreen smell. It soaks in quickly and isn't the least bit shiny.
AlphaMale Cooling Body Scrub - $20
It is indeed cooling and especially nice on body hot spots like feet and underarms. The scrub is gel-based, and like the face scrub, has synthetic beads for gentle but thorough exfoliation. It rinsed easily and left skin smooth.
AlphaMale No Sweat Hand Lotion - $16
This is probably the most unique product in the line. This light, moisturizing hand lotion contains aluminum starch to inhibit sweaty, clammy palms. It soaks in quickly and dries to a soft, almost silky finish. This would be a fantastic product in the summer especially.
Although I applaud this skin care line for keeping fragrance to minimum and keeping the line range simple, the skin cleansing products aren't superstars. This would be a good range for men with normal to oily skin types to try, especially as the price point is pretty attractive. The real stars of the show are the AlphaMale Cooling Body Scrub which felt wonderful, and the AlphaMale No Sweat Hand Lotion which really fills a need and does an exceptional job. Both products would be welcome additions in any man's stocking.
