Justin Bieber Arrested, in Jail Rumors: Only on CSI Has the Singer Been Arrested!
Justin Bieber is the Subject of Much Internet Speculation Over Violating the Law, but None of it is True
Perhaps it's the photos of the Canadian heartthrob wearing an orange jumpsuit that circulated Twitter. That is a still from the TV show, CSI. He shared it with his fans, poking that he really is a "bad boy."
The Twitter/Internet rumors surrounding Justin Bieber likely make him happy. Perhaps this little good-guy wants to be seen as a "bad boy" because it will revv up his appeal. Of course, what he doesn't realize is that being his adorable self is what got him popular in the first place.
Celebrity rumors have exploded ever since the advent of instantaneous social media messaging. Twitter, FaceBook, and to a certain extent MySpace all provide avenues to spread rumors like wildfire. Someone can Tweet "Justin Bieber Died!" and send a tiny url to a fake blog that looks like a legitimate news site and BAM. Instant internet rumor.
Of course, then the rumors will make it to the trending topics on Twitter, and soon hit Google Trends. Then, it explodes into infamy as everyone with a blog starts contemplating whether or not this time, the rumors are true. Did Justin Bieber really get arrested after molesting a fan?
How is it that the innocent fan can keep from becoming a victim to the never ending onslaught of false Bieber news? They can check major media sources, such as CNN, Fox News, or HLN. Very rarely will these avenues fall victim to a false internet rumor started by a pimple face kid with an iPhone Twitter app, and very rarely will they misinterpret a celebrity Tweet.
In conclusion, Justin Biber was not arrested. Justin Bieber is not in jail. He did not molest a fan, but he will be on CSI. Only on TV, only in fiction-land will this young Canadian heartthrob ever have a run-in with the law.
