Justin Bieber is celebrating through his Twitter account the success on Friday of seeing the music video for his single "Baby" become the most watched video of all time on YouTube.

With Bieber riding high on being the biggest pop star in the world right now the distinction of having the video with the most plays on YouTube left the 16 year old thanking fans for making it number one. Justin Bieber took the time to be supportive of Lady Gaga who prior to him had the most watched video with "Bad Romance."

As of Saturday "Baby" had been viewed over 246 million times on YouTube. Bieber said through Twitter, "what is goin on with the BABY video on youtube is crazy...i started on youtube so the support...well i just need to say thank u".

Justin Bieber got his start on YouTube when his mother Pattie Mallette posted video's of her son singing and playing the piano. Those videos turned the unknown Canadian teen into a superstar that led to a recording contract. Bieber said in a statement through his representative having the most played video on the network was like coming full circle.

Justin Bieber finished his appreciation on Twitter by tweeting, "so thanks...like i said i started on youtube so...WOW!! Love u and wish u all the best in each and every one of ur lives. Thanks Beliebers!"

Late on Friday Justin Bieber and Lady Gaga switched places off and on for the top spot, but by the end of the day Bieber had over 600,000 more views then "Bad Romance."

Currently the most watched clip on YouTube that isn't a music video is the "Charlie bit my finger" video, which has over 210 million views. This surpassed the popular "David After the Dentist" video from 2008.

Just Bieber's YouTube success comes on the heals of a successful sold out tour, number one album and a new comic book being released with Bieber as the main character.

This is what the music industry has been widdled down to? YouTube views? Though I was kinda hoping they would be forced to fight to the death for the title. I think that would have been a win win for all of us..By the way I found a website that give you prizes for your opinions and 4 play games here is the topic about this contest:
