Justin Bieber - Fan Facing Life Sentence of Ridicule from Friends?

Roz Zurko

Justin Bieber's life-size cut-out was the object of a foiled hostage taking plan, but much action went on before the arrest of the suspects. A 23-year-old man basically shop-lifted a life-size cut-out of Justin Bieber and took off on foot after being chased by mall personnel. Two brave unarmed mall staff finally took him down.

The cut-out, which is usually seen as a promotional object, was the same type of that Selena Gomez kissed last week in a picture, as she is away from her teen crooner on tour. The life-size facsimile of the teen heart-throb cost $34.99, so it's considered a misdemeanor and this is what David Dowling's charged with, according to Pop Crush. He is in jail on $120 bond.

When asked what he was going to do with the Justin Bieber object once he took it from the Florida record store, he said he was going to hold it hostage. Dowling had an unnamed accomplice with him at the time of this big caper, who also took off running once Dowling grabbed the Justin Bieber piece. The accomplice is under arrest too, for this caper!

No matter what the court dishes out in the form of punishment to this 23 year-old man, he has received a life sentence of his friends, family and neighbors pointing him out as the guy who got arrested for stealing a picture of Justin Bieber! This will be a hard wrap to live down.

You might expect that an overwhelmed 12 or 13 year-old girl to try this stunt, but a man of 23, this story will haunt him for a very long time! What was he really going to do with the Justin Bieber cut-out once he got home?
