Madame Tussauds in London, New York and Amsterdam Now Have Wax Statues of Justin Bieber on Show
Justin Bieber immortalized in wax at three Tussaud Museums
Justin Bieber, in the UK for his My World tour, attended the London unveiling of his wax likeness at Madame Tussaud's Wax Museum. This is just one of three wax Justins, the other two on display at Tussaud's in New York and Amsterdam.
The Bieber statue is dressed in a black vest by Will.I.Am and pants by Balenciaga. MTV News reports that Justin donated the clothes for each of the three statues.
Bieber excitedly tweeted, "Arrived at @tussaudslondon to see my WAX figure!! the 1st time i saw a wax figure was in nyc and all we could do was look thru the glass. Now we are here in London and they r about to show my figure here and in Amsterdam and in nyc at the one we looked thru the glass. #DREAMBIG."
TV news coverage showed Justin standing several inches taller than his wax likeness - which shows the pop star is still growing. He had also had his flop locks cut. Tussaud personnel were worried about the discrepancy before deciding that fans would want to see Justin as they had modeled him with the haircut that has been his trademark since he burst onto the pop music scene.
After seeing himself on display, Justin had this to say -
"To be immortalized in wax alongside some of my idols - Michael Jackson, Prince, Beyoncé and my mentor, Usher - is incredibly exciting and very cool," he said.
The Bieber statue is standing next to Usher, the singer's mentor and friend, in Tussaud's "VIP Room.
Bieber's girlfriend, Selena Gomez, also has a wax figure in the Tussaud Musuem. She was immortalized in 2010.
