Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez Kissing Brings on the Death Threats

As to be expected, a photo of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez kissing has brought on the death threats. Will Selena Gomez stay with Justin Bieber after experiencing so much Twitter violence?

For someone that's against bullying, Justin Bieber definitely has some fans that have no problem with that of the cyber kind. Droves of Justin Bieber fans are not happy at all with recent photos of Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber vacationing in the Caribbean. In the photos, the couple can be seen getting close and almost kissing. While Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber have been rumored to be a couple for some time now, it seems that this recent batch was just too much for some Justin Bieber fans, and the death threats are pouring in on Selena Gomez' Twitter page.

So what are fans tweeting to Selena Gomez? Well, she's been called a "cancer whore", the r-word, and a "Justin pedophile" (she's 18 and Justin Bieber is 16). Fans have threatened to kill her and themselves over her relationship with Justin Bieber, while some have threatened to kill her if she breaks Justin Bieber's heart (so there's no easy way out at this point). So should Selena Gomez be worried about all these over-the-top death threats?

Well, more than likely not, since most of the fans posting these comments on Twitter will never have the opportunity to get near Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber (and most of them likely wouldn't try to kill her if they did; I'd imagine they'd actually be quite star-struck instead). Unfortunately, the Justin Bieber generation has grown up with the ability to hide behind a computer and threaten just about anyone they feel like threatening, and Twitter has made it possible to even do so with celebrities.

So what should be done about the death threats? Well, it would be a great opportunity for Justin Bieber, who has already released an anti-bullying PSA, to speak out against cyber bullying. His anti-bullying campaign began after he himself was bullied at a laser tag center, so now that he sees his new ladylove experiencing something similar, why not stand up for her, too? After all, he knows how hurtful face-to-face bullying can be already, but he might also feel the sting of cyber-bullying if all the death threats scare his latest squeeze away.
