Here's this virtual nobody, who captured the heart of pop princess Britney Spears, and is trying to get used to his new celebrity status, or lack thereof. Kevin Federline is attempting to support his family, while making a name for himself, and let's face facts...the media hasn't been all that kind to either one of the young couple. The stalker-azzi have become intrusive in their quest to get a shot or story, every move they make is front page material and is scrutinized to an obsessive point by the public. The newlyweds have been attacked over all matters, from Britney's parenting skills to Kevin's partying ways to their "alleged" marriage problems.
And so, Kevin's latest move could be a good one career-wise. Kevin, who is the new face of Five Star Vintage Clothing Company, has taken matters into his own hands. Friday, K-Fed announced that he will be launching his own record label called Federation Records. The first release will be his own; Playing With Fire is due out in October. Fans, or those interested, will be able to catch a performance by K-Fed of his first single, "Lose Control." His debut gig will be the closing at the 2006 Teen Choice Awards, hosted by Jessica Simpson and Dane Cook. It will be televised on the FOX network on August 20th. "Lose Control" will hit radio airwaves the next day, with a video to follow early September.
Receiving massive flack from his first release, rap song "Popozao," Federline has said that it was a ruse to lure in visitors to his MySpace website and to intrigue the public about his music. Whether this is a statement to save face or if there are those genuinely interested is still to be determined, but comedians everywhere have attacked his first tune relentlessly. To Kevin's credit, he does have over 64,000 "friends" on his MySpace account, but billboard charts go by albums sold, not buddy lists. Hopefully, the listening audience will give it a fair chance.

Well written article, Maria. (Even though I have nothing good to say about K-Fed).
