Marijuana has been used in some medical cases as a way to relieve pain in cancer and other very painful diseases and that type of use is legal as long as it is prescribed by a doctor. There are many other users of the drug though and they are taking a chance on going to jail for that use. K2 (Spice) is sold in stores such as Smoke Shops (Head Shops) across the United States.
K2 isn't supposed to be smoked as so many people are doing. It is supposed to be an incense but that isn't what it is being used for at all. It is sprayed with substances that give the effect that so many people are looking for in a marijuana high without having to worry about getting arrested for it. K2 (Spice) has not been regulated as of this point, but there are talks that this may soon happen. It has been a way for people to get around the Cannabis laws in the United States for a little while, but as with anything else, they are looking for ways to crack down on it. If you are one of the people using this legal way of getting high, chances are, it won't be a long lasting way to legally alter your mind.
If you use K2 (Spice) as a way of getting high, you should be aware that there are dangers to using it. Since it is not regulated, there may be dangers of inhaling foreign substances that could cause serious side effects. For most people that are enjoying this legal alternative to it's marijuana counterpart, the idea of possible dangers probably won't be enough to stop it's use. There are just some people that want to get high on marijuana and for them, doing it with K2 (Spice) is the perfect answer. Regulation will follow suit eventually. It may not happen overnight, but it is a concern that lawmakers are considering. Whether this is good or bad remains to be seen. The debate over whether marijuana should be legal or not has been going on for many decades and isn't likely to end anytime soon.
If you are using K2 as an alternative to using marijuana, remember that you should still practice caution. For instance, no more should you use K2 and drive than you should drink and drive. It is your responsibility to make sure you don't hurt yourself and others in the process of altering your mind. You should also be prepared for a possible ban of the substance in the United States as has already happened in several other countries.
