I ordered my KABOOM Scrub Free Continuous Toilet Cleaning System through amazon.com for $11.99. The refills run about $6.99, and last about 3 months. There are no tools required for installation, it simply snaps into the back of the tank. As you connection the tubes to each section that it belongs to. The great thing is it is safe for septic systems, refillable, and doesn't cause damage to the inside parts of the toilet, like Vanish Drop Ins does.
KABOOM Scrub Free Continuous Toilet Cleaning System comes with instructions that tell you to clean your toilet before installing. I felt, and feel that this is sort of cheating. I mean think about it, you buy a cleaner for your toilet, and in order for it to work, you have to have a clean toilet to start with!? This kind of tells you it's not going to work, or at least as well as it claims to work, right?
I decided to install mine in the upstairs toilet because at night we don't flush the toilet, and it's prone to stains. I did a quick cleaning of the toilet, and flushed. KABOOM Scrub Free Continuous Toilet Cleaning System has been in my toilet since mid-late November, and my toilet is exactly as it was. I believe KABOOM Scrub Free Continuous Toilet Cleaning System is used for nothing more then to maintain a clean toilet. It repels stains rather then cleans the stains. I can confirm this because as I mentioned I did a quick clean, so there were a few stains left where I didn't brush completely in spots. You have to look, but they are there. I left it like that because visitors don't use the upstairs bathroom, and I had to perform a proper test in order to honest review of the product.
I can see how people are upset that claiming the product doesn't work, but it does, if you clean your toilet ahead of time it will maintain a clean toilet for three months.
I like the fact this cleaning system is a plastic unit, so when I am done with KABOOM, I can refill the unit with other drops in products to use one that do clean and protect not just maintain.
I don't recommend KABOOM Scrub Free Continuous Toilet Cleaning System for toilets that are high volume toilets. If you use yours a lot and flush a lot, this wouldn't be a good product for you. If however you'd like to test it, and refill it with something else like I plan to do, then this is the cleaner for you.
I rate KABOOM Scrub Free Continuous Toilet Cleaning System 3 out of 5 stars.
