Kaleeforneia Loses Its Mind

Nicholos Poma B.S.
Under a new bill signed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger of California, it is now illegal to discriminate in the public schools against sexual orientation and alternative lifestyles. The Governor signed the controversial bill amid much opposition by Christian and pro-family values groups. Senator Kuehl first introduced SB 777 back in February of 2007. It was anticipated that Schwarzenegger would veto the bill as he had done in the past. His response in the past to vetoing similar bills was that there were already laws on the books against discrimination. However, the Governor signed the legislation passed by the California Senate and the law will come into effect January 1, 2008.

Under this law, it would be illegal to discriminate against homosexual, bi-sexual, and transgender teachers, school officials, or students, as if anybody did anyway. Under this law, it is considered discriminatory to say that a mother and a father is a normal family and that all alternative families must be accepted as equal. This bill also states that it is unlawful to instruct, or hold school activities that hold a bias against gender, the definition of gender includes in its definition, cross-dressers, sexual orientation, and transsexuals. Another bill signed is AB 394, which may require parents and teachers to receive special anti-harassment training. Oh, and do not expect it to stop there, you Pastors and church members are gonna find yourselves a little low on dough after this, because it will also affect social services and church led community projects. Pastors if you speak out you could quite literally lose your C3501 status, be fined, and imprisoned. I will be very interested to see how much we Christians have in the face of the wicked one.

This is a lot to digest and the implications are horrifying. In essence, we are talking about the indoctrination of children as young as the age of five into learning about alternative sex and lifestyles. I understand that there are some out there that think I may be going overboard and reading too much into it. After all, who in their right mind would try to teach children as young as five years old about sex? Well, I believe it had to ultimately get to this point because those that are in favor these issues have never stopped trying to get these laws passed and they finally succeeded.

The strange thing about this is that in every vote California and any other state had for that matter, the results were overwhelmingly opposed to same-sex marriage. Yet somehow, it is okay to teach our children about it in school, and then harass them if they do not like the alternative lifestyle. Let me tell you, kids have not changed that much over the years and if they think something is gross, it does not matter how you sugar coat it, it is still gross.

Ultimately, I see a backlash coming as parents and some teachers, and the churches start voicing their opposition loud and clear. This may just be the rallying cry for the State of California to find some semblance of sanity and come to its senses. I think up until now I have been pretty tolerant and patient with the nefarious means by which these unscrupulous politicians pass these legislative actions, but I think if they try to indoctrinate my kids, it is not going to be pretty.

Interesting report on what's going on there.

    And so it begins...

Furthermore, we have not discriminated, are doing nothing but helping the community....why are people so afraid of the Christian conservatives? We aren't going to take the nation by force. That isn't what God's Word teaches. I'm in a tizzy. I need to go drink a cup of coffee.

I never should have read this so early. I need to do more reasearch. Take our nonprofit status, take our tax breaks, but you can't take away my 1st Amendment Right, it is every bit as much mine as it is anyone elses.

I'm surprised it wasn't Senate Bill 666--I'm just really, well, amazed that a country so overwhelmingly in favor of same-sex marriage would make it wrong to teach or insinuate that is the norm. Did I read you right? Well, what we have to do in this life isn't based on Uncle Sam's tax breaks. But when America chooses to turn her back on God, which she is doing, there will be repercussions...God is forgiving and longsuffering, but he is Holy and cannot cohabitate with sin. I need time to digest this.
