Kane Should Have Competed in the 2012 Royal Rumble

Spy Radio

Kane battled John Cena to a Double Count Out at the Royal Rumble, but did not compete in the Royal Rumble Match. The WWE made a huge mistake by not allowing Kane to compete in the Royal Rumble. Kane has competed in the past thirteen Rumblers. Fifteen altogether racking in a total of 36 eliminations. Shawn Michaels (HBK) currently holds the record with 39 eliminations. With Kane approaching the record and possibly the end of his career the WWE should have allowed him to compete in the Royal Rumble Match.

There is no reason that Kane should have not competed in the Royal Rumble Match. You could argue that Kane had a Match earlier in the night against John Cena; However, Dolph Ziggler and The Big Show also competed earlier in the night, but they were still allowed to participate in the Royal Rumble.

The theme of this years Rumble was that every Superstar was eligible to compete. Why not Kane? Kane could have easily took the place of WWE Announcers Michael Cole or Jerry "The King" Lawler. Those two did not need to compete in the Rumble. They took a spot away from Kane who would have competed in fourteen Royal Rumbles in a row and an opportunity to break HBK's record. Maybe the WWE will give Kane a chance to compete in the 2013 Royal Rumble, but that is a year away. Before the 2013 Rumble rolls around Kane could decide to retire. He is currently 44 years old, so who knows how much longer he plans to wrestle.

For those reasons I feel the WWE made a mistake by not allowing Kane to compete in the 2012 Royal Rumble. Do you think the WWE made a mistake by not giving Kane the opportunity to break Shawn Michaels' record?
