Kangaroo Brand 3 Cheese Omelet Pita - Product Review

JRS
My most recent, and favorite food find was discovered at one of my routine visits to Costco after work one payday. I was elated when I discovered the most perfect, ready-made heat and go, convenient breakfast food I could have hoped for!
Without hesitation I loaded a box of Kangaroo Brand 3 Cheese Omelet Pitas into my shopping cart.

I had been wishing for a practical solution to getting a halfway decent, hot, and not-too-fattening, easy to prepare breakfast food for busy mornings on the go!
The Kangaroo Brand Omelet Pitas proved to be that convenient breakfast food and then some!

Many times on busy weekday mornings I long for a hot breakfast sandwich from McDonalds or a local convenience store, but rarely do I have the opportunity to squeeze in a trip before hitting the road to work.

These nice-sized egg filled pita pockets are practical and convenient not only for breakfast, but also for an, after work, late night, quick dinner, or anytime snack! They are a convenient and easy way to add protein to your diet. There is a healthy sized cheese filled, whole egg omelet that is tasty and well textured. The eggs are firm and fluffy, never slimy, runny, or rubbery. I've found that I've needed to adjust the heat time on microwaves to insure they are evenly heated, but they always come out tasty and delicious, with the pita bread soft but firm, and the egg likewise.
This was a pleasant surprise, as I sometimes have misgivings and disappointments with microwave food products.

The Kangaroo Company is a little midwestern family-operated bakery that strives for consistent quality, and the best value for the money.

Kangaroo currently offers omelet varieties in: 3 Cheese, Cheddar Cheese, Santa Fe, Ham and Cheese, and Sausage and Cheese. I've only sampled the 3 Cheese variety but I'm sure the others will be just as good!

Kangaroo's Pita Naturals Omelet Pita in the Three Cheese variety is made with whole eggs, Monterey Jack, Cheddar, and Colby cheese in a pita pocket and promises a homemade taste in 1 minute! At 3.75oz, this 3 Cheese omelet pita pocket also has half the fat and calories of other leading breakfast sandwiches!

The convenient pita breakfast sandwiches are individually, making them convenient for grabbing from the freezer or refrigerator and throwing in your bag, but also makes for easy cleanup! With no pots or pans to use, I simply remove an omelet pita from their plastic bag and wrap in a paper towel to microwave for about 1-1/2 minutes on high. Individually wrapped sandwiches used in vending are wrapped in oven-safe film for heating up to 325 degrees Fahrenheit, so there's no need to rewrap them!

I've learned to 'beef-up' and add variety to my cheese omelet by tucking fully cooked frozen sausage patties, bacon links or pieces of vegetables into the sides of the pocket sandwiches along with additional spices and toppings for added flavor when micro waving the pita sandwiches. Yum!

Maybe I'd do a better job of eating breakfast if I stocked up on food like this (it's making me very hungry just thinking about it!)
