One of the first eye grabbing things about Kanguru products is the price. A 1 gigabyte mp3 player runs in the range of $50-$60 depending on where you decide to purchase your player.
The size of the players is next. The player is tiny enough to hold in your hand, but the buttons are easy enough to push regardless of its small stature.
The player comes with a later case, headphones, a rechargeable battery, a CD-rom that has a user manual as well as any back up system information that may be needed for it to run on your system. The only problem with the battery is, it was not charged. Most people are ready to break into their product as soon as they get it, but no t being able to because of an uncharged battery ruins the experience of getting a new 'toy'. The headphones are of pretty great quality.
The player is read to use as is, minus the battery, and is usually compatible with any operating computer system. If it does not work, the CD that came with the player just needs to be inserted and the information downloaded from the disk. This CD also contains the user manual for the player, but I found it rather useless, skimmed it and decided to figure out how to use the player on my own.
This player also comes with a radio function isn't horrible, nor the best. Some spots pick up reception well, other spots do not.. This player also has a recording function which is great if you ever want to leave yourself a note. The playback on this is excellent.
Adding music or other media to your player is easy, just by using the drag and drop method. Plug the player into your computer and drag it from one file to the player. It's as simple as that.
One a scale of 1-10, I would give this player 8 because of the uncharged battery and the minimal radio problems, and the uselessness of the user manual. It gets points for the ability to take this player anywhere and the ease of use. These make this player an excellent gift for yourself or someone you know. You won't regret your purchase.
